Short-Let Apartments

Three apartments in Como, designed for short stays. One shared language of walnut, black and white tiles and brass, and a different colour for each: blush pink and grey, pale blue, sage green.

Apartment 1

Soft grey walls, blush pink in the textiles and a walnut kitchen. The living area is one room: a bouclé sofa, a round black table and two lantern pendants in brass and glass that mark where you sit and where you eat. The black and white tiled floor frames the open space like a rug, and comes back in the shower. The bedroom keeps the same palette, with pink curtains, an upholstered bed and an oak shelf that works as a desk.

Apartment 2

Pale blue and walnut. A round walnut table sits against a built-in banquette under a single pendant, and the chequered splashback picks up the black and white of the floor. The kitchen turns towards the window, so the sink gets the daylight. In the bedroom an oak writing shelf folds into the wall; the bathroom has a walk-in shower with brushed brass fittings and a clear glass screen.

Apartment 3

Sage green is the only strong colour, and everything else stays quiet so it can carry. Sofa, island and cooking wall share one room: walnut fronts on one side, a fluted white island that doubles as the counter you eat at. In the cloakroom a walnut vanity with a black stone top answers the kitchen, over metro tiles and a chequerboard floor.
