Apartment Renovation

The renovation of an apartment in Como in warm sand tones: a handleless kitchen with a marble island, soft bedrooms with smoked-glass wardrobes, and bathrooms in white marble and oak.

The kitchen

Tall units run to the ceiling and hide the fridge and the pantry; the same marble wraps the island and rises behind the hob. Light oak underfoot and brass in the pendants keep the room warm.

Bedrooms

The rooms keep the palette of the kitchen and soften it: upholstered beds and lounge chairs, sheer curtains, light hidden in the ceiling. Wardrobes in dark smoked glass close the dressing areas without making them heavy, and the child’s room adds terracotta to the cream.

Bathrooms

White marble with grey veining, oak slats and brushed bronze taps. Light runs in recesses along the ceiling and into the niches; the showers open behind a single sheet of glass, and a freestanding bath sits in the main bathroom.
